What a nice long weekend this was! It started from Thursday night's Valentine Date with my boyfriend (movie and dinner), included a little bit of shopping (for the girls only, but enjoyable, nevertheless), a very dear friend visiting for a couple of days, another movie with said friend and my 10-year old, lots of lounging around, spending quality time together, and to top it off, a visit to the Long Island Children's Museum.
I haven't been to movies for an adult movie (not that kind, heh) for such a long time and now I went twice within three days! Saw Lincoln first, and it was a great movie. Very well done with sets and clothing, but what truly shone was the acting. Daniel Day Lewis and Sally Field were absolutely amazing, and everyone else did very well too. It was a movie with lots of characters, and not one weak performance. The second movie was Life of Pi. A beautifully made movie with an amazing story. I had read the book years ago, and usually the book wins, but in this case the movie was also so superb, that it was on par with the book.
The children's museum is a great place and the kids had so much fun making bubbles, playing music, being the news cast, and doing lots of other cool stuff.
Here are a few pics from the weekend.
