Revel

Our quick getaway last Friday took us to Atlantic City, to the new casino hotel Revel. I picked it because we wanted to go somewhere fairly close and I got a good deal on Jetsetter (I also fell in love with the pictures of the spa - which I did not even end up going to, to my great disappointment). I did not expect anything ALL THAT... But boy was I wrong.

The trip was hanging on the balance to the last minute due to work commitments, nanny troubles, and general busyness, but then my husband made the commitment to go and arranged to have the kids be at my sister-in-law. (I was impressed - he has never done anything like that before - usually it's me who does all the arranging, and organizes the child care, etc.) But because of the last minute nature, I was not able to make any appointments at the spa.. ah well, next time then... and there will definitely be next time as I am dying to go back there. And I don't even gamble!

I was very much impressed by the luxurious feeling of the hotel, the great style and architecture, the modern luxe room... There is nothing negative to say about this place. We even had one of the best meals there that we've had in a long time. It was fairly quiet when we were there, but Rihanna was playing the next night, so it started to get busier when we were leaving. I am definitely going back there this summer and will take the kids with us to enjoy the pool, the board walk, the beach...

You're not allowed to take photos in the casino..but there it is, in the end of the corridor

Hotel lobby area

The rooftop garden was amazing.

The views were balm for the soul

The location was perfect, right on the famous AC Boardwalk

A modern indoor/outdoor pool. Will bring the kiddos here too!

Love the architecture of the building, the oceanic curves, the modern glass and steel vibe.
