Tori

One of my favorite places in any town I visit in Finland is the market place, or tori. I wish the farmer's markets in the U.S. would develop to a more tori-like atmosphere, where you can go and have a cup of coffee, have some ice-cream, or any number of edibles, sit around and watch the tori-life.

This is the reason I go to tori in Tampere! The black sausage, mustamakkara, by Tapola, is the best.
My absolute favorite!

And since even I can't subsist only on mustamakkara, this stuff comes handy too. I love the fresh new onions.

And of course the Finnish strawberries are the best!

Fresh picked wild mushrooms, aaaaah.

And berries picked from forests. This is the REAL blueberry!
