Arts and Crafts

My kids looooove doing arts and crafts. I like it too, with the caveat that they have to be EASY and simple, not too messy, and not too time consuming. We don't get to do crafts that often because we're always so busy, but every now and then I try to make time and then we get down to it. During the Memorial Day weekend we painted aprons with fabric paints. Everyone got to make their own apron, and we made one as a souvenir for the au pair who's leaving today. I bought the simple white aprons, and spray fabric paints from the craft store, and used an old alphabet stencil and a doily for the project. Just place the stencil / doily on the fabric, spray with your favorite color, let dry, put in the washing machine, iron, and voila... Easy and fun even for the little ones to do!
