Happy Easter

Unfortunately it's almost over for us... but fortunately this Easter Sunday was a gorgeous day which we thoroughly enjoyed. Let the pictures speak...

New York City in Bloom

Let's Go Mets!

It's been a bit crazy lately. A lot going on, both at work and during free time. It's all good though, just life happening in fast pace. The busyness cuts down on the time I would have to update this blog here but I will try to sneak in a few posts here and there to catch up.

Tonight I took the family and my cousin to see a baseball game. It was New York Mets playing against Atlanta Braves. It was freezing in the Citifield stadium, luckily we were prepared for the cold. We all had fun, and the kids went a bit nuts with the atmosphere, chanting Let's Go Mets and cheering for the team. I came home with a few Mets fans!

Bittersweet

I think we all know already that despite our best efforts we cannot have it all. It's hard to have a work - life balance. Especially these days when you are "on" all the time. With technology the lines are blurring..at home you're still connected to  what's happening at work, and at the office you're connected to what's happening at home and with your kids. Yesterday at the office I got these pictures from my Au Pair and I have to say that I missed my little one so much I was questioning my choices. In those bittersweet moments you have to just be your own best friend and tell yourself that you are doing the best you can, even though it's a bit overwhelming at times. And then hug your little treasures when you get home and savor that moment...

First Real Spring Day

Yesterday we spent most of the day outdoors, enjoying what felt like the first real spring day without a nip in the air. I cleaned up the trampoline for the kids and did some gardening. I cleared space from overgrown ivy to plant flowers later when the night frost danger is over. The hubby installed a new swing for the kids and fixed the deck. It was great to sit in the sunshine and sip coffee from my favorite cup while watching the kids laugh and play. It's the small things that make you happiest. The day was actually perfect to the end. The hubby cooked & served dinner while I was doing a yoga class, the kids conked out easily fatigued as they were from spending so much time playing outdoors, and I managed to stay awake for the first episode of Game of Thrones new season as it opened last night. What more could a girl ask for?

White Tote Shopping

I have developed a craving for white for spring and summer. I've been gathering white things in the hopes that the weather will soon turn... but I still need a white tote bag. I have a few options in mind. Which one do you like?

This Brahmin all day tote is on the top of my list right now. (Sorry about the horrible picture quality!)

This Sondra Roberts tote would combine perforation (another recent obsession) and white...

This is from a favorite designer, Vince Camuto. Basic everyday tote, but the bubbles make it a bit more interesting.

I'm not seriously considering this Bottega Veneta... but this is what I'd go for if my budget was unlimited.

Which one would you choose?
