Running Errands in Wedges

Here's my outfit from last Saturday's errand run. J Crew denim shirt, an old loose knit vest, H&M skinny jeans, Nancy Gonzalez croc and pony hair bag, wedge sneakers. My daughter took the photos and she's turning out pretty good with the camera, or what do you think? A word about the wedge sneakers - I had bought this really cheap pair a few years ago when the trend just first hit, and I thought that it would be a very short lived one. Had I known how long this trend was going to be around, I would have invested on a little better pair of wedges...the real Isabel Marant version.  However, since I heard what Isabel Marant thinks of the "other" wedges (vulgar), and people who wear them (supposedly they look bitchy), I probably would have reconsidered. And anyway, how long will this trend keep going? In conclusion, it's too late for the Marants now. That being what it is, have you ever been "a first mover" on a trend, and then wanted to upgrade?
